Daniel O21 days agoI started dating my husband in 2021 never thinking that one day I would be married to the most important and beautiful human being in my life. Born and raised in Connecticut, dating a native born Nigerian certainly has its learning points but most importantly it has shown me the power of a love that transcends international borders and proven to me how our rich immigration history continues to contribute to our American society, on an intimately personal level. After 3 years of dating, finally, we were ready! We decided to marry and started planning in late 2024. Then, the next word says it all…Trump. Let me tell you, the ABSOLUTE FEAR I had of losing my man under the new president’s immigration policies was daunting and terrifying almost every day since his inauguration. Luckily we received our immigration interview early on in the administration and I knew that it was time that I needed strong legal representation to fight for my right to love who I choose. In steps Mahsa. She is AMAZING at what she does. She was a great resource in helping us prepare for our interview and a constant reassurance throughout the entire immigration interview process. Knowing I had strong legal rights and representation with Mahsa made me proud to be an American in a same sex, minority marriage in a current cultural environment where the very right to just love is something that the government has put into question. At our first meeting we were initially very nervous but Mahsa met us at USCIS and ensured we were comfortable both before and during the interview, interjecting with questions I would never have thought to ask or clarify with the immigration officer. Unfortunately, ours was a special case and our interview ended without a clear approval. As we waited in limbo…the travel ban and a halt in immigration interviews hit. Despite this, I was optimistic and, after months of waiting, we received our second interview. I knew immediately that I wanted Mahsa by my side. Once again she was there for us, knowledgeable about our case and after our 2nd interview, we received his Green Card! I would recommend Mahsa to ANYONE dealing with immigration in today’s current climate and beyond. She is knowledgeable, available, kind and reassuring. I am truly grateful and blessed that my husband now has his Green Card and can continue his pathway to citizenship. Shravan Aras52 days agoAttorney Mahsa and her whole team at Abogada Vida PLLC have been exceptionally good to work with and extremely professional. They have helped me with my I-751 filing, and were extremely methodical with their assistance when it came to preparing the complete packet. I was impressed by the teams attention to detail, which made it easy for me to follow the required instructions. They also were extremely responsive to questions asked through their secured client portal, and often answered them in less than a hour. Further more they conducted one-on-one virtual video calls when requested to help answer or clarify any questions I had. Prior to my I-751, Attorney Mahsa also helped me with my I-485 and all the required supporting documents for it. From the very beginning, they guide you through every step of the process, provide thorough preparation, and make sure you feel confident going into your interview. Attorney Mahsa was exceptional throughout our case. She supported us during our interview and knew exactly when to step in and advocate on our behalf when necessary. Her knowledge, professionalism, and genuine commitment to her clients made a tremendous difference during what was an incredibly stressful and delicate process. Following our interview, our case could not be adjudicated at that time due to my country of origin being one of the 75 countries subject to additional immigration restrictions. Despite this setback, Attorney Mahsa did not simply leave our case pending. She went above and beyond by sending an email on my behalf to the processing office, at no additional cost, strongly advocating for our case to be adjudicated immediately after the ban was lifted. That advocacy made a significant difference. Shortly afterward, both my I-130 and I-485 were approved, and I am now a proud green card holder!
